Who are we?
Early Music Makers was set up by a group of people interested in making learning fun!
We create original children's musicals, songs and plays for use with casts of young actors whether at school, home, or in your local youth group. Our musicals work on a variety of levels, recognising the current range of education provision in each of the statutory, private and voluntary sectors. In Early Years, Primary and lower Secondary groups, our performance packs allow teachers to tie in the musical with classroom learning, focusing on the National Curriculum guidelines and Learning through Play. In the private sector, our suggestions for costumes and staging enable children to have a go at all aspects of putting on a show, including exciting backstage skills.
With a special emphasis on education in our work, we want all the children who perform our musicals, from the diverse range of backgrounds which represent our society today, to have fun and learn about themselves, through performance and play.
What makes us different?
Early Music Makers was created with the sole aim to inspire children to experience their world, through the magic of theatre.
>We do not charge you for a performance license; we believe that once you have purchased a Early Music Makers pack, you should be free to use it as you will, providing you do not pass it on to any third party. Find out about self-publishing...
>As theatre practitioners, we are one of very few groups who offer performance workshops on all our original material. We can even tailor-make a theatre day to your group and your theme! Click here to read more about our workshops...
>We are also the only children's musical provider to work in association with a number of charities and local concerns in order to increase awareness of topical social issues. So far we have worked with St Davids Foundation, Newport LEA on the Ryder Cup Education Park and the Sparkle Appeal. Our approachable and friendly material means that children receive unique opportunities to learn about their society and to help those around them. Click here to read more about us....
